The Importance Of Massaging Your Feet Every Night Before Going To Sleep
Our feet is the least pampered of all our body parts. What we don't know is the fact that most of the sensory nerves of our internal organs are in our feet. Thus, giving your feet a healthy massage every night before going to bed is very beneficial to you.
Foot massage improves your metabolism, stimulates the secretion of sweat, mobilizes fat, improves blood flow and accelerates the flow of blood through the tissue. Massage is also good when it comes to beauty of the skin because it makes it supple and healthy. Hence we get a youthful look.
Hence, massaging and applying pressure on specific points of the feet can ease symptoms of various ailments and helps when it comes to improving and maintaining healthy organ function.
During a reflexology session, the practitioner will use your foot as a detailed body map, and treat any health ailments by using massage and pressure on the meridian points that correspond to specific organs, purportedly sending energy to them. Both reflexology and traditional foot massage have been shown to promote psychological and physical health.
Here are a few ways that foot massage can be beneficial to your health:
* Promotes Mental Health and Wellness
* Serves as a Natural Pain Relief

* Multiple Sclerosis Symptom Relief
* Can Reduce High Blood Pressure (Hypertension)

How to Give a Healing Foot Massage
1. Put a small amount warm lotion or oil (such as coconut oil or olive oil) in your hand.
Smooth the lotion or oil over the foot.
2. Hold the foot firmly with both hands and rub the top of the foot using a firm motion with your thumbs.
Start at the tip of each toe and move slowly all the way up to the ankle. Move back towards the toes and rub with a lighter stroke. Repeat this step 2 or more times.
3. Continue to hold the foot with both hands and move your thumbs to the bottom of the foot.
Rub the bottom of the foot. Start at the tip of each toe and move your thumbs firmly down towards the heel. Go back in the direction of the toes and rub the bottom of the foot with your thumbs. Repeat this step 2 or more times.
4. Repeat the above steps on the other foot.
Experts recommend to massage your feet every night before going to bed. The treatment will be most effective if the massage lasts from 10 to 15 minutes.
